Addressing the support gap for inner city church plants
We are dedicated to offering financial, spiritual, and strategic support to inner-city churches. Our goal is to harness the leadership, resources, and collective wisdom of the Church to empower and deploy local churches into every underserved corner of our cities, catalyzing Gospel-driven change and embodying God’s presence in every community.
Establish a specialized fund designed to promote collaboration between churches in thriving communities and organizations, providing ongoing and innovative financial backing to inner-city churches. The objective of this initiative is to empower inner-city churches in achieving their missions with greater effectiveness. Rather than relying solely on traditional sustainability metrics to gauge success, our goal is to forge enduring partnerships between these communities, cultivating a redefined approach to financial support and sustainability within our local inner-city churches. Additionally, we will cultivate partnerships with business leaders and employ kingdom entrepreneurship methodologies to foster sustainable creative ventures within these strategic communities.
We are committed to fostering a grassroots approach to leadership development at the street level. Our strategy involves customizing leadership training and mentorship programs for local church planters and leaders, with a particular emphasis on individuals from marginalized backgrounds. Our approach will prioritize active listening, allowing us to shape training that responds directly to emerging needs. Additionally, we will actively seek mentorship and coaching from experienced veterans within these communities. To enhance the training experience, we will also facilitate connections and collaboration with various church planting networks and their core curriculum.
Many of these leaders and communities often experience a sense of isolation within the broader church family. Our commitment is to bridge this gap by connecting them with “3 Side” churches. We will actively facilitate the exchange of resources, knowledge, and best practices among these partnering churches, fostering an environment where they can learn from each other’s unique experiences. This collaborative sharing will transcend various contexts and serve as a means to build bridges of friendship within the city, fostering connections among diverse communities.
Community development is a central strategy for all of our indigenous leaders. Alongside church planting, we will actively promote partnerships with local organizations, governments, and nonprofits to craft holistic community development plans that address a wide array of needs. Throughout generations, churches in these communities have served as essential hubs for education, childcare, feeding programs, and more. Our goal is to empower and inspire a continuation of this vision through training and support.
TURNING VISION INTO REALITY
Form an accomplished leadership team of experienced practitioners, missional theologians, and business professionals to guide the partnership.
Secure financial support from churches, denominations, foundations, and like-minded individuals who align with our vision and mission.
Develop and provide accessible training materials and programs tailored to the unique needs of inner-city church leaders and marginalized individuals.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of communities and leaders to identify their unique needs, strengths, and leadership potential.
Building on our history, we have initiated a pilot project with three churches already planted or in the process of being planted in inner-city communities, alongside city-wide supportive churches. This pilot project aims to showcase the effectiveness of our collaborative approach, with a focus on empowering marginalized leaders and amplifying their voices.
We plan to expand this initiative to encompass additional cities, church planting movements, denominations, and networks, leveraging the insights gained from our past experiences and pilot projects. Our aim is to establish deeper partnerships and create leverage funding strategies to grow in accordance with God’s purpose.
